Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate.
There are the inevitable dents, marks and shrinkage cracks due to age and use.
There are some chips and cracks revealing the white gesso and the red bowl underneath.
There are some old woodworms, especially to the lower part of both étagères.
As stated in the catalogue, the upper statuettes are associated and partly 17th century, partly later.
Elegant and rare pair of étagères. Extremely rare use of gilt-bronze.
