Condition
This albumen print is in generally good to very good condition. Grading this print on a scale of 1 to 10 - a 10 being a print with rich dark brown tones and highlights that retain all of their original detail - it rates an 8.
There are several deposits of original retouching that have discolored slightly. A few creases are visible in the lower left quadrant, some of which appear to break the emulsion. The corners are bumped and creased. Near the upper edge, a horizontal crease extends the width of the print and may break the emulsion intermittently. At the edges, small tears have been expertly repaired and several losses of emulsion retouched. The print has been stabilized on a modern rice-paper mount.
On the reverse of the print, the negative number '3815' is written by the photographer in black ink.
