Stamped with French assay marks for 18 carat gold on pin fittings and 18 carat gold and platinum to reverse of one ribbon. Stamped Deposé SSM to reverse of brooch fitting. Signed Marchak Paris, numbered 23088A on brooch fitting. French maker's mark S M to side of brooch fitting support. Rubies deep purplish-red, transparent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification, some surface-reaching. Turquoise bright greenish blue, opaque, some with typical matrix inclusions visible. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.40 - 0.60 carats. Overall dimensions approximately 60 x 43mm. Brooch fitting secure, hinge in good working order. Areas of mild discoloration to metal and light scratches to surfaces consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
