Designed as a butterfly, set throughout with single-, brilliant- and circular-cut diamonds and step- and calibré-cut sapphires, the eyes set with circular-cut rubies.

Diamond are bright and lively, estimated clarity approximately SI, calculated to weigh approximately 6.5-7.5 carats in total. Sapphires mid/dark blue, good transparency, typical inclusions visible under magnification, some tiny chips to the facets, one sapphire with a large chip to the culet. Mixed-cut sapphire are a bit lighter in colour, some synthetic. Rubies dark-red , one more pinkish red, some tiny chips. Metal show signs of normal wear, light surface scratches. The brooch fitting is secure. Width approximately 66 x 32mm. Overall condition good.
