Catalogue Note
The arms are those of von Bothmer, possibly for Johann Caspar Graf von Bothmer (1656-1732) the Hanoverian courtier and diplomat serving under the Electorate of Brunswick-Luneburg. Between 1720 and 1731 he acted as a consultant of King George I and lived at No. 10 Downing Street.
