Collection of Anson Burlingame Johnson (1855-1934), Los Angeles, California, acquired when serving as United States Consul to Xiamen circa 1900; thence by descent.

Condition

Heavy wear, rubbing and flaking to gilt lacquer. Cracks, losses and flaking to gilding, as viewed. Traces of polychromy throughout. Base plate sealed and incised with reverse swastika.
