Condition
Overall very good condition. When viewed in person the vase presents with wonderful naturalistic coloration, slightly more subdued compared to the catalogue illustration, transitioning from earthy orange on the foot to a striated green stem to the white, pink, orange and green blossom. The glass surfaces with scattered extremely minor surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The glass with scattered minor air bubbles and particulate inclusions, inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The stem with some concentrated surface scratches where the stem joins to the foot and with some very light surface soiling to the recessed area. As is commonly seen in Flower Forms, the interior coupe with some scattered red spotting, inherent in the sprayed application of the iridescent surface treatment and not visually detractive, and with some light surface soiling. The stem is very gently bent. The interior of the upper bowl and underside of the foot are beautifully iridized, imparting a strong sense of luminosity to the vase. An elegant and highly naturalistic form with strong coloration.
