Catalogue Note

A VERY RARE COPY OF THIS IMPORTANT ATLAS OF THE COAST OF ALASKA. “This is an outstanding and painstaking work by a naval officer and hydrographer who spent 25 years in Alaska and the North Pacific, reaching the highest position in the Russian-American colonies, that of Chief Administrator” (Lada–Morcaski). The last copy traced at auction was the Streeter copy, sold in 1969, described as “an essential part of any Alaska collection”. WorldCat records only 6 institutional copies.
