Condition
Original canvas. There is a very small, old puncture to the canvas in the upper left quadrant, towards the left vertical edge. There is some very slight possible frame abrasion apparent towards the top of the left vertical edge. There are some very small flecks of loss apparent in the lower left corner and the upper right corner. There is a very light diagonal scuff to the right of the red flag. There is a spot of surface matter in the lower left corner. There is some light surface dirt in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching.
The work is presented in a gilded and painted wooden frame with a pale pink fabric slip.
