Condition

Original canvas, the canvas undulates very slightly in places but otherwise appears sound. There is evidence of a very slight vertical scuff at the right vertical edge. There is some light surface dirt in places. Subject to the above, the work appears to be in very good overall condition, which a rich impasto surface. Ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is presented in an ornate gilded frame.
