Overall very good condition. The seat of the bench with age-appropriate even wear consistent with gentle use. The wood seat presents with minor surface scratches, nicks and scattered minor abrasions, consistent with age and gentle use. There is an even pattern of nicks across the seat top which is age appropriate and not visually distracting. The steel legs with minor rusting, scattered pitting and general wear all common with tubular steel of this age. The feet of each leg with traces of black enameling which is visible in the catalogue illustration. All screws to the structure on the underside appear original. Executed with precision and void of superfluous detail, the subtle curve of the wooden seat echoes the subtle curve of the industrial legs and is an exemplary piece of early Modernism.
