Overall very good colour and condition, light natural wear to surfaces and extremities commensurate with age and use. The surfaces of the desk appear to have had a light clean and been applied with a light varnish at a later date. There is a small indentation to the left side of the desk approximately ½ inches in diameter. The tambor mechanism is in full working condition and the leather writing surfaces appears to be original and remains in good condition. The multiple interior drawers are all present. The outer surfaces of the desk have light natural wear, marks and abrasions to their extremities commensurate with age and use. The chair remains in overall very good condition, with the exception of minor flake losses to the top inside edge where the curved back rest attaches to the uprights. There is overall age related dirt residue to the frame – the frame would benefit from being cleaned and applied with the appropriate furniture oil. The seat has been professionally reupholstered and the chair retains a firm structure.
