Description
- Jules Wabbes
- Set of Ten Armchairs
- brass, original goat leather upholstery
Condition
The set of chairs retains its original soft goat leather. The five black chairs with a separation in the central seam of the backrest (visible in the catalogue illustration in the first chair) exposing foam core. Each chair with varying degrees of wear, rubbing and very minor separation to the leather at the front edges of the seat and armrests. One chair with minor scuff of white paint to the seat. All would benefit from professional reupholstering. The tan chairs with some light wear and surface scratches to arms. One chair with a series of cracking to the leather at the top of the back rest and the proper left front edge of the seat. One of the five chairs with a separation at the central seam of the backrest, exposing foam. All chairs with minor brass polish residue to the frames. One chair with the front frame slightly bent off-form, but stable and not visually distracting. All chairs have new lucite feet and are sold with several extras. A rare opportunity to acquire a large set of a scarce Wabbes model.
