Condition
It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals lines and dots of retouching along the extreme edges, an additional small spot of retouching in the green pigment just below the man's proper right shoulder and a few small additional dots of retouching to the man's chest, to the woman's proper left shoulder and to the second woman's face in the upper left quadrant. There are a few flecks of paint losses in places, notably to the woman's proper left arm and in between his feet. There are a few lines of stable craquelure in places. There are a few scattered fly spots. This work is in overall good condition.
