Condition

It has not been possible to examine the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouching. There are pinholes at all four corners. There is some minor paint shrinkage in places, most predominately in the blue pigment and a few scattered thin lines of craquelure, notably to the centre of the biggest purple flower. There is a paint loss to the blue pigment, approx. 15 cm from left edge and 32 from lower edge. There is a possible spot of paint loss to the lower right corner. Impasto is nice and well preserved. There is some minor frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work is in overall very good condition.
