- Cloisonne enamel, wood, lacquer, metal
- 61,2 cm, 24 1/8 in.
de forme circulaire, décoré d'un oiseau au plumage bleu, vert et blanc, reposant sur une branche de prunus jaunes en fleur, le tout sur un fond turquoise parcouru des leiwen, dans un cadre en laque rouge finement sculpté de lotus dans des rinceaux feuillagés, accidents

Condition
There are two main restored and repainted areas in the upper right quadrant of the cloisonné plaque, the largest measuring ca. 6 x 10 cm and the other 6 x 10 cm, with the turquoise enamels darkening to a green colour (visible on the catalogue illustration).The surface is slightly uneven and there is pitting to the enamels overall. There are several cracks and small losses to the tinted wood and cinnabar lacquer frame, and a large crack to the lacquer frame at ca. 5 o'clock, secured with a metal staple and screw. The wood plaque behind may have been added later.
