Description
- H. (head) 5 cm, 2 in. ; Plaquette : 9 x 5 cm, 3 1/2 x 2 in. ; Ring : H. 2 cm, 0 3/4 in.
the double-faced head with one side carved with Christ and the other with a skull, on a turned wooden base ; the plaquette carved in high relief with a figure of the Dance of Death ; the ring with a silver mount
Condition
In overall fairly good condition with surface dirt consistent with age and handling. The relief with hairline fissures consistent with the material. There are a few minor chips to the high points on the double-faced bead. The ring with the carving on the ivory skull fairly worn.
