Catalogue Note
"Dear Mr. Doctor!" Herzl begins. "How about our work? Will you soon be able to please me with the message that the launch could take place? Sonnenthal goes on holiday in February, and today we are already writing the 10th of December." Herzl, the founder of modern political Zionism, was also a journalist and playwright. Adolf von Sonnenthal was one of the greatest Austrian actors of his day. Though born in poverty in Budapest, his talents were so highly regarded that he was raised to the nobility as a result.
