Accompanied by CISGEM, report no. 7637, stating that the sapphire is natural, with no indications of heating. Measuring approximately 8.75 x 10.12 x 7.50mm, calculated to weigh approximately 7.50 carats. Stamped with indistinct maker's mark to gallery (possibly French). Sapphire mid-blue, translucent, with typical inclusions visible under magnification and light scratches to surface. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 2.20-2.60 carats, estimated colour J-K, estimated clarity SI1 on average, some I1, as graded within the limitations of the mount. Light scratches to metal surfaces commensurate with wear, some tips of claws missing. Overall good condition. Gross weight approximately 7.4 grams.
