Description
- Platinum, gold, sapphire and diamonds
Collet-set with an oval sapphire, within a surround of cushion-shaped and rose diamonds.
Condition
Accompanied by LFG report no. 330964, stating that the sapphire is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heat treatment.
Sapphire mid blue, transparent, good saturation, with surface reaching inclusions visible under magnification. Some minor chips, rubbed facet edges and scratches to stone surface. Measuring approximately 8.5 x 7.5 x 4.6mm, calculated to weigh approximately 2.40-2.50 carats. Diamonds bright and lively. Scratches to metal surfaces and slightly discoloured consistent with wear. Overall condition commensurate with age and wear. Measuring approximately 17 x 13mm. Gross weight approximately 2.5 grams.
