Accompanied by GCS report no. 78154-17, stating that the sapphire measuring approximately 17.2 x 13.8 x 9.8mm and calculated to weigh approximately 16.50 carats is of Sri Lankan (Ceylon) origin, with no indications of heat treatment. Shank stamped PT950 for platinum, stamped with gavel mark. Sapphire mid blue, good saturation, transparent, with typical inclusions visible to the naked eye, some surface reaching, with associated minor cavities. Small areas of minor chipping and wear to facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 0.40 - 0.60 carats. Scratches to surfaces consistent with wear. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 12.7 grams.
