Description
Comprising: a brooch of abstract scroll design, set with oval and cushion-shaped rubies, and brilliant-cut and baguette diamonds; and a pair of pendent ear clips of similar design, each additionally supporting a cabochon ruby within a border of marquise-shaped diamonds.
Condition
Brooch accompanied by GCS report no. 79187-33, stating that the rubies are natural, origin opinion Thailand, one ruby with origin Burma, with no indications of heating, the largest measuring approximately 8.9 x 6.6 x 3.8mm and the smallest measuring approximately 5.5 x 4.7 x 2.3mm. Estimated total carat weight approximately 18.00 carats. Earrings accompanied by GCS report no. 79187-32, stating that the rubies of cabochon cut are natural, origin opinion Myanmar (Burma), with no indications of heating, moderate amount of oil in fissures, estimated measurements 14.8 x 9.6 x 7.3mm on average, estimated to weigh 22.3 carats in total. The rubies of oval cut are natural, origin opinion Thailand, with no indications of heating, estimated measurements 6.9 x 5.4 x 3.3mm on average, estimated to weigh 6.0 carats in total. Rubies with typical inclusions visible to naked eye, some surface reaching, particularly on the cabochons, chips and rubbed facet edges. Diamonds bright and lively, estimated total diamond weight approximately 12.00-16.00 carats. Brooch length approximately 80mm, earrings 65mm. Earclip fittings with some glue residue. Combined gross weight approximately 88 grams, overall in good condition.
