Condition
This canvas has been waxed relined. The paint surface appears to have been slightly pressed as a result of the aforementioned relining. Notwithstanding, the details read very well and present a handsome image. Inspection under UV shows some retouching all along the right edge, while some minor spots are visible on his jacket. The background has a few scattered painted retouches with the most prominent one on the middle left. Overall the face and hair look good and show very few spots of retouching. This painting is presentable and can be hung in its present condition. The canvas is presented in a gilded wood frame with only a few nicks and losses.
