- 27.6cm, 10 7/8 in. long
the leaf painted with Flora holding a cornucopia of flowers, surrounded by attendants competing to offer her flowers, in a luxuriant Italian garden, the reverse painted with a profusion of flowers on a dark background, associated contemporary plain ivory sticks, mother-of-pearl and paste pivot, in a later silk case with Paris and London label for 'Duvelleroy'
Condition
superb painting on each side. minor wear and tear along egde and folds, gilt paint has tarnished though and a few pin holes in the leaf, barely noticeable. The ivory sticks are contemporary but have been associated somewhat later, their painted ornaments now gone.
