modelled with its head thrust into the air, the tusks forming a double-spout, a tall cylindrical vase on its back forming the handle, its tasselled saddle cloth painted to both sides with a floret reserved on a diaper ground

Condition

This kendi is in general good condition with the exception of a small area of restoration around the snout (approx. 0.8 cm in width) with the tip of one of the snout broken off, and three minor glaze chips to the ears. There are minor firing imperfections including iron spots and burst bubbles.
