both recumbent, each facing head to tail, the smaller cat with a butterfly beside its head, the mottled pale grey stone with blackish-brown colouring

Christie’s New York, 19th September 2013, lot 1669.
Condition
This is in good condition. There is a small chip to one wing of the butterfly and been lightly polished, there are also some very minute nicks to the edges. The actual colour of the stone is slightly creamier than the catalogue illustration.
