Description
- 38.2 cm, 15 in.
the tapering baluster body rising from a recessed base to a broad rounded shoulder and short narrow neck with rolled rim, covered overall in a rich dark-blue glaze save for the interior and base glazed white
Condition
The vase is in general good condition with the exception of a long glaze line (approx. 20 cm) running downwards the body of the exterior. There are some restorations to the glaze in the interior near the rim. The base has some shallow chips (largest approx. 1 cm), and one which was caused during firing. Other minor firing imperfections include minor glaze inconsistencies, burst bubbles and iron spots in various areas.
