Description
- 47 cm, 18 1/2 in.
seated in dhyanasana, the left hand held in dhyanamudra while the right is held in abhayamudra grasping a lingzhi stem, wearing a long flowing robe and dhoti bordered by stylised scrolling lotus, the open chest draped in an elaborate necklace, the face with a benevolent expression detailed with downcast eyes beneath high arched brows and above a bud mouth, flanked by long pendulous ears and surmounted by a crown beneath a domed ushnisha, with polychrome lacquer decoration and gilding
Condition
This large figure has refreshing to several areas of the red lacquer decoration on the shoulder, sleeves, and around the legs, a 2mm., hole to the front of the right leg and overall rubbing and loss to the decoration.
