- 35.5 cm, 14 in.
the deep rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot, brightly painted in rich cobalt-blue tones to the interior with a medallion enclosing a herd of deer in a river landscape beneath pine trees, the exterior with four pairs of parrots perched on peach trees, the base inscribed with the six-character mark in underglaze blue
Condition
This dish is in overall good condition with the exception of minor shallow chips and fritting to the rim, and surface wear. Firing imperfections include slight warping of the rim, glaze inconsistencies such as iron spots and burst bubbles in various areas, one small unglazed protruding area to the interior (approx. 0.5x0.5 cm), gritting to the foot. There are parallel firing lines to the foot rim (approx. 3.5 and 4.5 cm).
