Description
- 48 cm, 19 in.
the slender baluster body rising from a flat base to a broad short waisted neck with rolled rim, brightly painted and enamelled with a group of scholars listening to a seated figure playing a qin, the neck with peonies and chrysanthemum issuing from rockwork

Collection of Hector Beeche (1848-1932).
Condition
This vase is in overall good condition with the exception of a small restoration (approx. 0.5 x 4 cm) and tiny glaze chips and fritting to the rim. There are slight surface scratches. Firing imperfections include some glaze inconsistencies and a minor firing line to the interior, iron spots and burst bubbles in various areas.
