of square section, the body rising from a spreading foot to a waisted neck and galleried rim, two taotie mask handles at the shoulder with archaistic decoration in inlaid silver wire, with a pair of confronting phoenix over a band of pendent lappets on each side, keyfret and abstract motifs at the neck, geometric bands at the rim and foot, an inlaid two-character Shi Sou mark to the base, traces of gilt throughout

Condition

Two sides with wear to the silver wiring on the body consistent with age and use. Scattered small losses to the silver wire, minor nicks, and surface abrasion, all consistent with age.
