Condition
Overall very good condition. The lamp presents with a bright, artistic glass selection. When viewed in person the green background glass is slightly more distinguished from the stem and leaf glass and presents with a slightly more olive-green tone. The glass comprising the daffodil blossoms is cleverly selected with a mottle in the center of each flower, which gives variation and dimensionality to the flowers. When viewed in person, the daffodils are very slightly less red and more orange. The shade with approximately 14 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, all stable. The shade with some light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines. The shade with some wear to the gilt patina. The “Twisted Vine” base is in very good condition with some light surface soiling to the recessed contours of the design, scattered minor discolorations and some wear to the patina, all consistent with age and gentle handling. With a period finial with threaded pin in overall very good condition with wear to the gilt patina. With period socket casings which have been outfitted with replaced electrical componentry and replaced pull-chains. An extremely harmonious and sculptural shade and base pairing.
