Condition

Overall very good condition. The lamp presents with a colorful glass selection with passages of soft pastels and more vibrant, saturated colors, interspersed with confetti glass tiles. The pinks of the peony blossoms display slightly more nuanced when viewed in person with more coral tones compared to the printed catalogue illustration. The shade with approximately 13 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, all stable. The shade with some extremely light surface soiling throughout concentrated to the contours adjacent to the leadlines and within the recessed portions of the rippled glass. The rare and highly sculptural “Twisted Vine” base is in very good condition with scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle use. The bronze with some occasional very minor surface irregularities and casting flaws inherent in the making and not visually detractive. The base with some light surface soiling and very minor traces of oxidation to the recessed contours of the twisted vine decoration. The outer edge of the base foot with a minute fleck to the patina, only visible upon close inspection. With a later replaced finial in overall very good condition with some scattered extremely minor surface irregularities and spinning flaws inherent in the making, and with a small abrasion on the tip of the knop. All sockets and paddle switches appear original and undisturbed. A lively shade design with an artistic glass selection paired with a highly complementary and rare base design.
