Overall very good condition. The shade with fewer than 5 hairline cracks dispersed throughout, all stable. All of the “Turtle-Back” tiles in the upper border and at the lowest point of the shade appear original and undisturbed. The caming surrounding the turtle-back tiles with some minor flaking to the paint. All of the bronze hanging components appear to be original except for the chain and ceiling canopy, which appear to be later replacements executed in a complementary and harmonious patina. The bronze surfaces present with scattered minor surface scratches and abrasions consistent with age and gentle handling. A particularly handsome geometric and Turtle-Back model displaying an attractive yellow-orange coloration. This lot is accompanied by a letter of authentication by Paul Crist.
