Condition

Overall in very good original condition. The sheet is unevenly discolored with some slight surface soiling. The sheet also with two hard creases at the left and right to delineate the image area. The sheet edges with faint staining throughout, not visible when the image is matted and framed, and the vertical edges each with remnants of prior hinging. The image with pin holes to the corners and top center, a small damp-stain to the lower edge, and minor isolated spots of discoloration throughout. The image edges with minor remnants of red wax. The verso in good condition with minor traces of surface soiling. A rich watercolor that demonstrates Mackintosh’s adept knowledge and familiarity with historical architecture.
