Condition
Overall good condition. The eggshell top with some light surface soiling including a few minute stains and with a few small chips to the eggshell, consistent with age and use. A few of the chips have been previously refilled. The lacquered surface with very few scattered minute dents and some minute black stains, only visible upon close inspection. The corners of the table present with cracks at the junctions between the top and the legs, consistent with age and use and inherent to the material. The corners show some evidence of previous restorations with some areas where the lacquer appears to have been refinished. An area along one edge of the tabletop starting from one corner and measuring approximately 5 x1 inches with a crack with previous restoration and evidence of refinishing to the lacquer. This same corner presents with a chip to the lacquer. The opposite corner with a small dent. The bottom of the legs with extremely minute chips to the lacquer, consistent with age and use. A very elegant piece, characteristic of Dunand's lacquer work.
