Condition
Overall very good condition. When viewed in person, the table presents with a warm honey tone, slightly more saturated than the overall lot shot illustration in the catalogue. The table has been sensitively and professionally refinished by a top New York conservator (an older layer of orange varnish removed and the table restored to its natural walnut finish) and now the warm, satin hues of the grain are accentuated to their fullest extent. There are two minor areas of wood infill (the largest 1 ½ x ¼ in.) to the outer edge of the lowest tier of the table, but nearly indecipherable. The underside with the original Widdicomb paper label. An outstanding example of this iconic design by Robsjohn-Gibbings.
