Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. The porcelain: The vase on the left of the catalogue illustration with a ca. 16 cm. hairline crack (front) and a ca. 17 cm. hairline crack (back) extending vertically from the mouth of the carp to its body. The dorsal fin, visible on the right on the catalogue illustration, has been restored. There are some tiny glaze imperfections. The vase on the right of the catalogue illustration with some glaze imperfections. Inside the vase, there are a ca. 4 cm. and a ca. 2 cm. firing flaws. The mounts: On both vases, gilt-bronzes are stuck to the porcelain. The gilding is in good overall condition with minute rubbed areas. Beautiful pair of vases.
