Catalogue Note
Accompanied by a Rolex service invoice and presentation case.
This yellow gold Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Ref. 6265 is fitted with a champagne coloured dial with black subsidiary dials in excellent condition, resulting in an astonishing contrast and strong presence. The 9‘769’412 serial number indicates its production in 1987, which was towards the end of the 6265’s production and in addition, probably one of the last models bearing a numbers-only serial number, as shortly after, a combination of a letter and numbers for the serial number was introduced.
The case still bears the seal stickers from a service at Rolex in 2008. The rare Rolex riveted Oyster bracelet completes this extraordinary model.
