Condition
Movement: Running at the time of cataloguing. Case: In good overall condition. With some minor polishing and wear to the case. The case back with a crisp milled edge and a monogram in the center the reads F.S. A crisp gold mark under the lug with some wear under all lugs from the bracelet being removed. The bezel insert with some losses where the insert meets the crystal. Dial: The dial is in attractive original condition. The lumes are slightly discolored but do react under UV. The bracelet with some polishing and the links are a little stretched. One of the underside of the links with signs of repair. The bracelet is stamped for 1969.

Catalogue Note
The present lot really represents the golden age of flight. Housed in a solid 18k yellow gold case, this reference 1675 is the epitome of vintage sports Rolex. Dubbed the Concorde this same model appeared in Rolex advertisements celebrating Pan Am's inaugural flight on the aircraft.
