Catalogue Note
Launched at the Basel fair in 2010, Patek Philippe challenged our sensual experience with its reference 5951, the new mono pusher split seconds chronograph perpetual calendar wristwatch by unveiling a brand new dial design that is both sporty and contemporary. Unprecedented to any Patek Philippe watches, the brand proves that not only it has the disciplines and skills to keep the traditions but also the courage and vision to push forward innovation. The movement’s design is based on calibre CHR 27-525 PS, the thinnest column-wheel-controlled split-seconds chronograph movement, which can be seen in reference 5959 (lot 2117) and reference 5950A (lot 2118). The CHR 27-525 PS Q boasts the addition of a perpetual calendar module that adds a mere 2.05 mm in height, creating an overall height of just 7.3 mm, making it the thinnest split seconds chronograph with perpetual calendar ever crafted by Patek Philippe. Due to its extreme complexity, the new calibre CHR 27-525 PS Q is exclusively hand-crafted one at a time.
