Condition

CASE Case in overall good vintage condition with light wear and scuffing throughout. Enameled bezels with some wear and scuffs. Some very small losses to the enamel at 12. Bezel to the back with very light scratches/loss throughout. Case back with some superficial surface lines and even attractive oxidation. Lip with some wear from opening and closing. Cuvette is double signed with retailer and maker and in overall good condition. DIAL Dial in excellent condition with light marks and some debris. MOVEMENT Movement with some light signs of age. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the year of manufacture in 1911 and sale on August 7, 1912, with bezel and pendant base decorated with Greek-style ornaments in black enamel. The present watch is double signed on the movement to include the retailer, S. Nordlinger & Sons, Los Angeles, CA. 
Simon Nordlinger was watchmaker from Alsace, a French region along the Swiss border. He established S. Nordlinger in 1869. The firm is now considered one of the pioneer merchants of Los Angeles, expanding to later include the Nordlinger sons.
