Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the date of sale on October 11, 1954, with an enamel dial, pink gold case and bracelet.  Together with a red Patek Philippe presentation case. Ref. 2526 launched in 1953 as Patek Philippe's first self winding wristwatch. Its limited production ceased in 1960, making this reference especially sought after by collectors. No Patek Philippe collection is complete without a Ref. 2526.

Ref. 2526 is further iconic for its signature white enamel dial, a feature rarely seen on modern wristwatches. The present lot belongs to the first series, made shortly after the launch of the model, with pearled minute divisions and open subsidiary seconds. With the majority of this reference produced in yellow gold, the present lot in pink gold is particularly rare and collectible.
