Catalogue Note
Accompanied by two associated winding keys. The present lot is striking for its large format as well as the stunning enamel work of the case. Typically, Cartier's Belle Epoque desk timepieces are more diminutive in size and feature more simple enamel work over guilloché. The elaborate design and multiple tones of blue exhibited here are evocative of stained glass windows in a grand cathedral.
