Condition

CASE The desk timepiece is in overall good condition. Agate handle to the top of the case with a crack to the upper right side. Two somewhat oxidized hairlines to the agate plinth. Some very small nicks to the edges of the silver gilt rectangular case and some loss to the white enamel borders. Diamonds to the hands and case bands have not been tested for quality. Some wear overall. DIAL Dial with some lightly oxidized hairlines between 4 and 6 under close observation. A scratch above 3. Some surface spots and debris. MOVEMENT Alarm operating. Minutes repeating in phase. The movement is running at time of cataloging, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time or duration of the power reserve and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Please note that Sotheby's does not guarantee the future working of the movement. **The movement was extensively repaired with replacements to some portions of the escapement in the past decade. Photos of repair work available upon request. **
