  • A French parcel-gilt silver and agate cup, attributed to François-Désiré Froment-Meurice, Paris, circa 1840
  • Parcel gilt silver
  • 15.5 cm high ; 6 1/4 in.
on four pearls feet, the base applied with a rider slaying a Turk warrior, the stem shaped as a pine tree, surmounted by an oval agate bowl

Condition

In overall very good condition. Marked on the lower rim of the base, with the French export mark between 1839 and 1879 (Hermès head cut-out).  No maker's mark found. Highly precise chiselling and detailed decoration.
