Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, but examination under UV reveals a small area of retouching to the black pigment towards the centre part of the table. There are pinholes to each corner, the centre of the upper and lower edges and the centre of the left edge. There are some flecks of pigment loss to the upper left and lower right corners and there is some very minor pigment shrinkage to some of the thicker black pigments. There is a lovely thick impasto and this work is in overall very good condition.
