Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is a milky varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, but examination under UV light does not reveal any signs of retouching. There is some craquelure visible, in particular to the thicker white pigments, and some pigment shrinkage in places. There is a spot of pigment loss to the cream flower towards the upper right of the bouquet and a few further spots of pigment loss to the extreme edges. There is some gilt adhering to the edges, in particular the lower edge, due to previous framing. This work is in overall good condition.
