Condition
The canvas is strip lined and examination under UV light reveals a small vertical line of retouching to the extreme upper left of the composition measuring approximately 2.5cm. There are three spots of pigment loss: to the green hill below the wall to the left of the composition, above the artist's signature to the lower right and in the centre right of the sky. The central stretcher has left a light impression in the canvas and there is some very minor craquelure to the thicker areas of impasto. Overall this work is in good condition.
