- 21 cm, 8 1/3 in.
the rectangular box with flush fitting cover and lead rims decorated with an inset circular panel depicting Daruma inlaid in coloured ceramic, the interior with scattered lotus leaves on a crackled lacquer ground in Heian style

Condition
By the nature of the artist, the box has been lacquered to look old and there are a few minor chips to the rim and a slight crack to the edge of the cover visible from the inside. The interior is crackled to emulate an earlier style, there is wear to the patinated surface of the wood on the base and a small area of repair to the lead rims of the cover at the top right-hand corner.
